Selene Horse Head - Small

Adaptation of a fragment of the reconstruction of the East pediment of the Acropolis. It represented the birth of Athena emerging fully armed from the head of Zeus and the other gods witnessing the scene; in the left corner, the chariot of the Sun (Helios) emerges from the ocean marking the appearance of day, in the right corner, the chariot of the Moon (Selene) pulled by horses plunges into the ocean.
